Mingling Lights are modular plastic sticks with integrated LEDs and magnets, designed for collective play and unexpected functionality. They can be linked together, or deconstructed again, into any shape and size. Mingling Lights can work on a power bank (with an adapter) and up to 32 units can be attached at once.

Conventional lighting often fulfils one function for a particular space. We wanted to explore the potential of a new interaction with light; one that can serve many purposes, and engages people to play and connect.

Mingling Lights is a collaboration project between Bastiaan Stoker and Bram de Vos. (Graduation project 2020 – Design Academy Eindhoven)
